As part of my role as the editor for Programmable Logic DesignLine, I have to take the standard text versions of News, Product, and "How To" articles and augment them to include various HTML tags to make them look pretty on your screen.
I also play around with a number of other websites (like my www.DIYCalculator.com site), which I edit in HTML and maintain by hand.
To be honest, I've spent so many hundreds of hours doing this that it's almost second nature. On the other hand, there's always an occasional "gottcha" that slips through the cracks that I don't see until the article is preview-rendered. So I was interested to hear about the following free real-time HTML editor:
http://htmledit.squarefree.com
The idea is that you enter the HTML in the upper window and the rendered version appears in real-time in the lower window. In my case I could paste the text version of say a Product release in the upper window and then work through it adding the required HTML tags and seeing my changes take place on the fly.
Of course there are other tools for this (I usually use AceHTML), but I can see that this handy-dandy web-based version could come in very handy, so I've just added it to my browser's bookmarked pages...
