Good grief – my cup is overflowing. After complaining that everything was "doom-and-gloom" these days and that EVE was a rare bright spark (see article #207501938), I just heard that the folks at Calypto are also rather pleased with themselves.
It seems that the guys and gals at Calypto, who specialize in sequential analysis technology, successfully closed their fiscal year 2008 last week with record quarterly and yearly financial results.
From what I hear, revenue more than doubled in fiscal year 2008 and annual bookings increased by 250%, driven by exponential growth of their PowerPro CG (Clock Gating) tool and expanding adoption of their SLEC (Sequential Logic Equivalence Checker) product.
Calypto's PowerPro CG is an automated register transfer level (RTL) power optimization product that reduces power by up to 60%. Meanwhile, SLEC is a sequential equivalence checker that is capable of verifying the equivalence between two designs despite differences in timing, state, and levels of abstraction.
During the last year, Calypto added several leading semiconductor companies to its worldwide customer list. Also, over the last year, Calypto extended its product portfolio by releasing SLEC System-HLS for comprehensive verification of the RTL code generated by High Level Synthesis (HLS) software. Calypto also expanded its sales, application engineers and R&D staff, and now employs more than 70 people around the world.
