Before we leap into the fray, and purely for your interest, have you noticed the 3D graphics "fly-bys" on the NBC Olympics coverage? Well... we know the folks who created these, and by some strange quirk of fate we ended up building the following website for them:
www.digitalglobe-aegistg.com
This was a real last-minute project. We threw the entire site together over the course of one week (our web guru Denis created the graphics and built the site while I scribbled out the words).
But I'm wandering off into the weeds again... moving on... do you recall a couple of months ago when I was waffling on about a guy called Tony Burch in Australia who had created a bunch of Step-by-Step FPGA Training Videos? Well, I just received a message from the little rapscallion as follows:
Dear Max, in order to celebrate the Beijing Olympics we are doing our "Personal Best" with the prices of the BurchED FPGA Videos.
Can you let your readers know that if they have not yet purchased the videos but they want to get started with FPGAs, then Olympic time is the best time! For a limited time (while the Olympics are still running), they can get the FPGA videos for half-price!
There are now 19 videos in the course, including our just-added: "How to do a Xilinx ISE Verilog Project."
They can find out more about our Olympics Celebration Offer at: www.burched.com
Also, in the case of university or technical college lecturers, we have an Olympic Celebration Special on our University Site License. Believe it or not, they can turn their students into FPGA champions for only 99 Cents Each during this Olympic sale! (*Site licenses are for 100 students Click Here for more details).
Happy Olympics to all, and kind regards,
Tony (Anthony) Burch
Well, I don't know about you, but this seems like a jolly good offer to me (I know what I'm getting my mother for Christmas as a "stocking filler" – imagine her surprise!)
